French Language Competition
Second National French Language Competition for Students “FRANCIADA”
The “Minu Balkanski” Foundation and “Francolandia” unite their efforts to achieve a common goal – to provide Bulgarian students with a French language competition.
We have the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the second edition of the National French Language Competition “Franciada”, which will take place on May 10, 2025, in Stara Zagora.
The organizers of “Franciada” are the “Minu Balkanski” Foundation and “Francolandia”, and the gracious host is GPCHE “Romain Rolland”, Stara Zagora.
For whom?
The competition is aimed at students studying French as a first foreign language, from grades 8, 9, 10, and 11. The competition is divided into 2 stages with a total time of 2 astronomical hours.
* We clarify that for 8th grade students, the language material included is adapted to the fact that the school year has not ended.

Format:
1-ви етап: Езиков тест (затворени въпроси)
The language test contains 40 questions (MCQ), which check grammatical and lexical knowledge from the studied material for the respective grade and will be conducted on the smartest platform, i.e. students will use their personal phones with a pre-installed application.
2nd stage: Text creation (letter response)
When writing the essay, more points are given for originality, creativity, and interesting ideas. It is conducted in the traditional way – on paper.
Evaluation:
The total number of points from the two stages is 60 pts. (40 pts. test + 20 pts. essay)
Program:
9:30 – 10:00 – Registration of participants, distribution by rooms
10:00 – Opening, presentation of the program
10:15 – Distribution of tests and timing of one hour.
11:15 – End of tests
11:15 – 12:15 – Essay writing
12:30 – End of both parts of the competition
15:00 – Award ceremony at the “Minu Balkanski” Foundation, Oriahovitsa village, Stara Zagora region.

Prizes:
Each category (8, 9, and 10, 11 grades) has the following prizes:
1st place: Full funding of 600 BGN for participation in one of the two summer schools in French language at the “Minu Balkanski” Foundation during the summer of 2025.
2nd place: Partial funding 75%, or 450 BGN, for participation in one of the two summer schools in French language at the “Minu Balkanski” Foundation during the summer of 2025.
3rd place: Partial funding 50%, or 300 BGN, for participation in one of the two summer schools in French language at the “Minu Balkanski” Foundation during the summer of 2025.
There will also be additional prizes provided by Telus Digital!
