Summer 2026 in Oryahovitsa: The Minyu Balkanski Foundation Opens Its Doors to Future Leaders in Science

With the arrival of spring comes some of the most exciting news for young talents in Bulgaria—the Minyu Balkanski Foundation’s 2026 summer camps are officially open, and registration has begun! This year, the camp in the picturesque village of Oryahovitsa is preparing to welcome a record 450 children, eager for knowledge, inspiration, and new friendships.

World-class and legendary instructors

The strength of the camps lies in the people who share their expertise. In 2026, giants of Bulgarian and global education will once again be teaching in Oryahovitsa:

  • Teodosiy Teodosiev (Theo): Bulgaria’s “Golden Physicist,” whose “power intellect” method has prepared dozens of medalists for international Olympiads. His physics school remains one of the most sought-after experiences.
  • Prof. Sava Grozdev: One of the most respected mathematicians, whose approach to logical thinking and non-standard problems has inspired generations of students.
  • Madame Wolf, a professor of classical philology and a specialist in teaching French as a foreign language, has worked at the most prestigious international high schools (Vienna, Luxembourg, Freiburg, Strasbourg). She has extensive experience in organizing and leading theater and film workshops.
  • Assoc. Prof. Kalina Petrova (ETH Zurich): A young and successful scholar, a bridge between Bulgarian education and leading global universities.

Why will 2026 be special?

This year’s program combines classical disciplines with the latest technological trends. We expect over 450 children to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of creativity

Highlights of this year’s camps:
